We are happy to announce our Main Street Gallery's (MSG) Spring Event - Friday March 31st. at 5:00 - 7:00pm. We know April's Fool day is on April first, but we're April Fooling it by moving it to the evening before!!
Please join us in celebrating art!! MSG features world class fine art. Our visitors are amazed at the quality of art we display, much of which is created by our in-house artists. We have several nationally know artists who have studios here and show their work in the gallery. Work includes oils, acrylics, watercolour, bronze sculpture, pastels, pen and ink, pencil, and feather art, as well as handmade jewellry, greeting cards and ceramics. Most works are for sale - so you also have the opportunity to start, or add to, your own private art collection.
Please come join us for a wonderful evening of art and socializing with artists and friends.
Main Street Gallery - this MSG is good for your health! Hope to see you there!!
We begin our 2017 Salon Series on March 16th with Jim Stevens
Here is information a gallery recently used as an introduction to Jim:
"Imagine the creative vision it takes to develop an entirely new painting technique in the art world. Most artists never realize such a thing. But now imagine someone who’s done it twice.
And imagine that vision coming from the mind and hand of an artist who is legally blind.
Imagination and vision are at the heart of artist Jim Stevens’ fascinating and nationally award winning works of art.
Among his many awards are:
He has been featured on television's PBS Arts District and PBS NewsHour, CBS and NBC news, Colorado Public Radio, and print publications around the country, including The Saturday Evening Post.
Most recently, he has been invited to give a TED Talk at TEDxMIleHigh this summer on the creative vision behind his many artistic methods and concepts."
Please come join us for a wonderful evening with Jim Stevens and why not bring a friend to this interesting and unique night out. This is a 'not-to-miss' Salon! Hope to see you there!!
We had a terrific evening with Anna Rose. we may be able to have a video recap for those who missed out. And - we may be able to book her for a workshop later this year!
The following is adapted from her website www.artworkbyannarose.com
Anna Rose Bain is a fine art oil painter and commissioned portrait artist based in Denver, CO. Her paintings often depict people in peaceful settings or places that evoke happiness. She especially loves painting women and children, and seeks to convey all of her subjects with honesty and sensitivity.
Anna was self taught until college. Inspired by her grandfather, who started painting at the age of 70, Anna spent her free time as a child sketching from nature and poring over art books.
She studied fine art at Hillsdale College from 2003-2007, and in 2006 took a figure painting course at the Florence Academy of Art. After graduating from Hillsdale with honors, she continued her education studying with several renowned artists including Judith Carducci, Clayton J. Beck, III, Nancy Guzik.
Anna now resides in Westminster with her husband Steve and daughter Cecelia, having recently moved from the Dallas area.
She also teaches workshops, and is actively involved in the local arts communities.
She is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America.
She is also an associate member of American Women Artists
The International Guild of Realism
The California Art Club, and
The Portrait Society of America
Her award-winning work can be found in numerous private and public collections around the world.
